What actually gets logged, concretely
- Active application/website name and the duration it held focus — not window titles or page content.
- Idle-time periods, based on keyboard and mouse inactivity past a configurable threshold, without inferring or displaying what the person was doing during that idle time.
- A rolling activity-level indicator (roughly, how continuously active a period was) built from the above, not from any content-level signal.
- Nothing is logged, by design, when the monitoring feature is disabled at the organization or individual level — there's no separate always-on background collection layer beneath the visible toggle.
- Application categorization (whether a given application is generally work-related or not) is configurable by an administrator but never inferred from content — it's based on the application's identity, not what was done inside it.

Why the technical scope is a deliberate ceiling, not a current limitation
It's worth being direct about something implied but not always stated clearly by vendors in this category: the absence of content-level capture in Clockframe is a permanent product decision, not a feature still on a future roadmap. Building keystroke logging or screenshot capture is not technically difficult — it's a well-understood, commonly implemented capability elsewhere in this software category.
